I starting working at Olympia in 2003 as the Competitive Gymnastic coach and Team Director.  In 2008 I took on the Gym Manager position and the Dance Director position in 2012. I was very active in competitive gymnastics, tumbling, sports acrobatics and dance as a child. I won many state and national titles, including a gold medal at the Jr Olympics. I have experience coaching gymnastics, tumbling, acrobatics and dance to preschool age children through high school both at recreational and competitive levels for 30 plus years. I have over 40 years experience in the field.  I  believe dance and gymnastics related disciplines teaches great values, confidence and respect. I am happy to work in such a positive environment on a daily basis.  

I began dancing at the age of 3 and have training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, pointe, and tumbling. I did competitive dance for many years; while I was on that team, I attended dance conventions where I took classes from many amazing performers/choreographers including Delaney Glazer, Maddie Ziegler, Tiffany Maher, and more. I was a Sundancer when I attended Southeast Missouri State University; in 2019, we became DTU’s D1 National Champions. A local dance team won State championships for their first time with the routine I choreographed for them.  In  2022 I was the JV Dance team coach for the Hillsboro Hawkettes and in 2023 I accepted the position as the Varsity dance team coach.   Along my dance journey, I’ve also enjoyed teaching classes and working with students; my favorite part of working with students is sharing my love for dance with them and watching their personal growth. I’m so excited to be a Dance Fever instructor and look forward to the year!
